2015 AWARDS NIGHT FOR THE HELLENIC RUGBY LEAGUE

The Awards night for the 2015 activity took place in Aspropyrgos, near Athens.

The Mayor, the President of the Municipality council, the president of the Cultural Center of the Municipality and many officials, welcomed the event that took place with the participation of players, coaches and administrators of the Hellenic Rugby league.

The President of the Federation Kostas Tzevelekos and the members of the Board of the HFRL, presented to the people who attended the event, a short report of the 2015 activity and the awards for the best and the most committed…..

Kostas Tzevelekos thanked all the ones who supported the Federation.

The Mayor Mr. Meletiou congratulated the administrators and the players and also promised more support to the Federation’s activity.

The representatives of the Clubs’ Boards of AEKK, Agios Thomas. Anagennisi, Pegasus, Promitheas and Pyrrihios thanked and congratulated too, for the expansion and strengthening of the Federation.

The awards:

Player of the year 2015: Roussos Konstantinos from Pegasus N.Kosmos and now Agios Thomas (top scorer of his team, scorer of the National team, loyal to his club).

Coach of the year 2015: Mouzakitis Christos of Pyrrihios RL team (most improved, hard working, coaching men and women, supporting the Federations’ development).

Team of the year 2015: Pegasus Neos Kosmos (despite the problems they survived and won the 2014-15 championship).

Special awards:

Karefilis Panagiotis: For having played in all the National team matches since 2013.

Philharmonic Οrchestra of Aspropyrgos Municipality: For their support to the national Team and all the social events in the town.

Pyrrihios’ women rugby league team: For the fact that they overcome the prejudices and prepare to play soon.

Matthew Alan Ashill: For his continuous support to the development of the sport in Greece.

National Team players: For their efforts to defend the sports dignity and to fight for their country.
